Fox Paddle Teachings Workshop
Storytelling and Fox Teachings
Fox is introduced as a teacher of:
Through storytelling, participants explore how Fox navigates the world by paying attention, adjusting to change, and using wisdom rather than force.
Reflection prompts guide the conversation, including:
• Where in my life could I be more adaptable or strategic?
• How can I notice patterns or opportunities I might be missing?
These reflections are held gently, allowing participants to engage at their own pace.
After this portion of the workshop, adults often feel focused, reflective, and empowered to approach challenges with creativity and insight.
Land-Based Learning (Optional Component)
When space and weather allow, an optional outdoor moment is included.
Participants are invited to:
• Notice tracks, movement patterns, or natural clues in the environment
• Reflect on Fox habits such as patience, adaptability, and strategic movement
• Discuss what humans can learn from Fox about awareness, cleverness, and timing
This land-based component deepens the connection between animal teachings, the natural world, and personal reflection.

Art Methodology – Live Edge Wood Paddle Painting
The Art Project
Participants create a Fox painting on a live edge wooden paddle, with each paddle offering a unique shape and natural texture.
The process includes:
• Lightly sketching the Fox with a symbolic focus rather than realism
• Painting with acrylics using warm, earthy tones and highlights
• Adding personal symbols representing intuition, strategy, adaptability, or observation
• Optional texture work using fur patterns, forest elements, or movement lines
Painting on a paddle mirrors teachings of journey, movement, and connection to water and land.
A Mindful Creative Practice
Art-making is slow, reflective, and intentional. Participants are encouraged to work with awareness, allowing the artwork to reflect personal learning and insight.
The finished paddle becomes a lasting symbol of adaptability, observation, and thoughtful movement.
Afterward, participants often feel proud, reflective, and inspired.
